Sales "Hunters": Your mission will be to build and own your book of business in the Southwest, including greenfield UC/voice solutions and enhancing or replacing existing systems.
This newly created role offers you the best of both worlds: the entrepreneurial energy of an initiative to ramp up our Cisco practice as well as the stability and resources of a billion-dollar global company. Black Box Systems is a Cisco Gold Partner with 75 offices in North America and 4,500 employees in 120 countries. Your role will enjoy top-down buy-in from senior leaders at both Black Box and Cisco.
You will join a team with a culture of success: the Southwest region accounts for a substantial portion of Black Box's overall business and you will join a sales team that is stable and delivers consistently excellent results. While we'll look to you to leverage your Cisco expertise, you will be able to sell unified communications and voice solutions from a broad portfolio.
You'll focus primarily on the greater Phoenix area, so this role won't require extensive overnight travel.

At the beginning, as you get to know our products, team and business model, you'll spend a fair amount of time in our centrally located Phoenix office. More About Your Role
If you're a good fit for this position, you already know most of what this job entails. However, to be sure we're providing a complete picture, here are some details.
You will join a team of about 15 outside Account Executives. Rather than organizing around rigid territories or market verticals, the Account Execs develop sales plans leveraging their individual strengths and experience. You'll have plenty of resources at your fingertips in the Phoenix branch, our regional hub and the largest branch in the West, including engineering and project management support. In fact, Project Managers are very much involved in the sale process from the beginning, helping set things up for success. The Regional Vice President is located here and there are solid technical and administrative resources in Maricopa County.
You'll drive the front-end process of the Cisco initiative, although you'll sell solutions from our entire portfolio (we offer more than 20 different products in the voice space alone). While you will not be limited by geography, we believe there is plenty of low hanging fruit in the greater Phoenix area; however, you may also penetrate Albuquerque and Tucson. The sweet spot you'll target is companies with more than 100 employees and deals over $100,000.
